Location. The Camelback Inn, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa occupies a scenic setting between the Camelback and Mummy mountains in Scottsdale, Ariz. This casita style resort is surrounded by the residential community of Paradise Valley. Hotel Features. The 125 acre resort completed a $60 million renovation in 2004. The property displays masterful American Indian artworks, sculptures, textiles and pottery. Hoppin’ Jack’s restaurant offers spectacular views of Camelback Mountain. Sprouts Restaurant prepares healthy cuisine in a tranquil spa setting. The Golf Grill is known locally for its Sunday Brunch. A total of 40,000 square feet of function space includes three ballrooms. Golf architect Arthur Hills designed the resort’s championship Padre Course, while Jack Snyder drew plans for the traditional American links style Indian Bend Course. Recreational amenities include basketball, pitch n’ putt golf and two outdoor pools. The Tennis Pavilion features three all weather lit courts, provides a guest matching service, and offers clinics and equipment rentals. The Spa at Camelback contains a lap pool, cactus garden sun terraces, rental cabanas, indoor and outdoor spa tubs, and a fitness center. The spa is outfitted with a mountain bike simulator, an exercise studio, and men’s and women’s relaxation lounges. Spa treatments include Southwestern massages and guided meditations. Hopalong College hosts seasonal educational and recreational programs for children ages 5 to 12. Guestrooms. This resort offers 453 one and two story smoke free casitas and suites.
