Location. The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, Ariz., sits at the foothills of the Sonoran Mountains. Surrounded by native cacti in the Sonoran Desert, the hotel is less than six miles from shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Mall. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West is five miles away. Hotel Features. The hotel features open spaces, original art and native landscaping. The lobby opens onto a two and one half acre water playground with 10 connected pools, a three story water slide, and a sandy beach. Two poolside bars serve cocktails and light refreshment in the poolside lounge area. The on site golf course provides a 27 hole and is USGA sanctioned. Tennis courts, jogging paths and bicycle trails are also on site. Ristorante Sandolo, a casual bistro located off of the lobby, serves Italian cuisine overlooking the hotel’s water playground.
